Time to make a little room on the shelf. Harry Potter publishers around the world are preparing a fresh TV tie-in paperback of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and this one comes dressed for the small screen: the cover will feature photography pulled straight from HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series.

Don’t worry, though, the magic inside stays exactly as J.K. Rowling wrote it. Only the packaging is getting an update; the full text remains untouched, word for word.

There’s one small but meaningful change for American fans: Scholastic is renaming its US tie-in edition from Sorcerer’s Stone back to Philosopher’s Stone, aligning the book’s title with the name of the new television series.

The English-language edition arrives globally on November 3, 2026, with additional markets rolling out afterward, timed to land on shelves well before the HBO Max series premieres this holiday season.
