On the evening of June 13, 2026, UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium became something altogether more magical. Thousands of Harry Potter fans gathered in Los Angeles for the world premiere of DroneArt Show: Harry Potter, a first-of-its-kind open-air drone spectacle created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Fever, marking a landmark moment in the franchise’s ongoing 25 Years of Magic celebration.
The event was hosted by Bonnie Wright, who portrayed Ginny Weasley across the eight Harry Potter films. Wright welcomed fans of all ages before the night’s centrepiece: a breathtaking aerial performance featuring 1,200 illuminated drones, pyrotechnic effects, and stadium-wide lighting choreographed to the iconic score and dialogue from the film series.
What happened on the night
Potterheads began arriving hours before the show to soak in the atmosphere. The pre-show experience included wizarding world-themed food and beverages, exclusive Harry Potter merchandise, and curated photo opportunities inspired by the films. The dress code was unofficial but enthusiastically observed: costumes were everywhere, and the best-dressed attendees were invited to join Bonnie Wright on the field for a special fan moment that became one of the evening’s most talked-about highlights.
Every attendee received a synchronized LED wristband representing one of the four Hogwarts houses, turning the crowd itself into part of the performance. Harry Potter-themed trivia contests ran throughout the evening, with prizes including tickets to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood.
“I would so encourage you to go. It’s a really unique experience. I have never seen 1,200 drones in the sky and it was something really new and special. I feel like it was a real creative expression of the series that we all know and love.”
— Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley)
The production is a Nova Sky Stories drone creation. According to Sofia Altuna, Global Lead for DroneArt Show at Fever, the ambition was to recreate the emotional weight of the films in a completely new format: “We set out to create something that feels as emotional and cinematic as the films, but experienced in a completely new way. Seeing fans connect with the show, and with each other, at the world premiere in Los Angeles was incredibly rewarding.“
