A newly reimagined version of HARRY POTTER and the Sorcerer’s Stone is set to debut on May 7 at Cosm’s groundbreaking “shared reality” venues in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Dallas. The immersive entertainment company confirmed that tickets will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT.

A classic reimagined for Shared Reality

Originally released in 2001 and produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, HARRY POTTER and the Sorcerer’s Stone launched one of the most successful franchises in cinematic history. Now, 25 years later, the beloved first chapter in the wizarding saga is being adapted for Cosm’s cutting-edge exhibition format as part of a broader anniversary celebration.

Cosm’s venues are designed around a single, massive curved screen measuring 87 feet in diameter and capable of displaying images in resolutions exceeding 12K. The immersive environment extends beyond the main screen to include sidewalls and ceiling projections, creating a fully enveloping visual experience. While the film’s running time remains unchanged from its original theatrical version, the presentation has been reengineered to take full advantage of the venue’s technological capabilities.

Elevating the fan experience

Cosm previously collaborated with Warner Bros. on immersive presentations of The Matrix and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The new HARRY POTTER adaptation continues that partnership, with additional contributions from technology vendors Little Cinema and MakeMake Entertainment.

Beyond the visuals, the experience will include themed food and beverage offerings, exclusive merchandise, and hidden “Easter eggs” designed to delight longtime fans of the franchise.

Alexis Scalice, Vice President of Business Development and Entertainment for Cosm, emphasized the company’s research-driven approach. In an interview with Deadline, she explained that fan enthusiasm for elevated cinematic experiences played a key role in selecting HARRY POTTER for the next immersive adaptation.

“We know that the fan is looking for an elevated experience and they definitely have been excited about seeing that in a cinematic format, so we’re embracing it. And we’re complementing it with the studio. We want people to get up and go to the movies, and I think it’s great that the new releases are in the theaters, and then we can offer an amazing platform to rerelease these classics.”

Cosm’s reimagined HARRY POTTER and the Sorcerer’s Stone represents both a nostalgic celebration and a bold experiment in the future of theatrical storytelling, one that blends beloved content with next-generation immersive technology.
