Harry Potter fans visiting London later this month will have a unique opportunity to step into a magical setting inspired by the Wizarding World. As part of the launch celebrations for the HBO Max streaming platform in the UK and Ireland, a large immersive pop-up experience is coming to Piccadilly Circus for two days only.

While the event will showcase several popular franchises, the Wizarding World will also be represented with a special installation that is sure to catch the attention of Potterheads.

A Hogwarts-inspired moment in Piccadilly Circus

Taking place on March 25 and 26, the HBO Max Experience will transform a 6,500-square-foot venue at Piccadilly Lights into an interactive space filled with iconic moments from television and film. Among the featured attractions will be a corridor inspired by Hogwarts, complete with floating candles that instantly evoke the magical atmosphere of the Great Hall.

For many fans, that imagery is inseparable from the magic of the Harry Potter films. Walking through a candle-lit Hogwarts corridor in the heart of London feels like a small but meaningful tribute to the world created by J.K. Rowling and brought to life on screen.

A celebration of HBO Max and the future of Harry Potter

The immersive event is part of a wider celebration marking the launch of HBO Max in the UK and Ireland on March 26. The platform will bring together content from HBO, Warner Bros., DC Studios, and Max Originals.

Importantly for Wizarding World fans, the service will also become the future home of the highly anticipated Harry Potter TV series currently in development.

Alex Lewis, senior vice president of marketing for HBO Max UK & Ireland, highlighted this milestone while discussing the launch:

Our HBO Max pop-up experience and London takeover week of launch will celebrate the ultimate mix of best-in-class series, movies, extraordinary real-life stories and exclusively live sport from TNT Sports available to viewers on the platform.

UK and Ireland audiences will be able to stream The Pitt, House of the Dragon, Euphoria, Lanterns, Superman, Sinners, One Battle After Another, as well as the eagerly awaited Harry Potter series for the first time all in one place on HBO Max.”

For Potterheads, this launch represents more than just another streaming platform. It marks the future home of a new era of Harry Potter storytelling.

A limited-time magical experience

The HBO Max Experience will take place at The Venue, Piccadilly Lights, located at 48 Regent Street in central London. The event will be open from 10 a.m. on March 25 and 26.

Entry is free for visitors aged 15 and over. Tickets are available through Eventbrite on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number of walk-in spots also available during the event.
