Fans of the wizarding world can now experience one of the darkest chapters in the saga in a completely new way. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: The Full-Cast Audio Edition has officially been released today, March 10, 2026, as part of the ambitious audio adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s entire series.

A cinematic listening experience

Produced by Pottermore Publishing and Audible, the Full-Cast Audio Editions reimagine the beloved books with immersive storytelling. The production features hundreds of unique voices, detailed sound design in Dolby Atmos, and a brand-new original musical score.

The result is a richly layered listening experience: footsteps echo through the corridors of Hogwarts, spells crackle in the air, and the Golden Snitch whizzes past during high-speed Quidditch matches. The project aims to present the series as a truly spellbinding audio event for both longtime fans and new listeners.

A darker chapter in Harry’s story

This fifth installment takes listeners back to a tense year at Hogwarts. After the Dementor attack on Dudley, Harry knows that Lord Voldemort has truly returned, even as the Ministry of Magic refuses to believe it.

While a secret group known as the Order of the Phoenix gathers at Grimmauld Place to oppose the Dark Lord, Harry must also learn to defend his mind against Voldemort’s growing influence with the help of Professor Snape.

A star-studded voice cast

The production features a star-studded cast, including Jaxon Knopf as Harry Potter, Rhys Mulligan as Ron Weasley and Nina Barker-Francis as Hermione Granger. Hugh Laurie voices Albus Dumbledore, Riz Ahmed plays Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez is Professor McGonagall and Matthew Macfadyen lends his voice to Lord Voldemort.

Other notable performances include Keira Knightley as the infamous Dolores Umbridge, James McAvoy is back as Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody, Simon Pegg as Arthur Weasley and Ruth Wilson as Bellatrix Lestrange. Millie Gubby voices the dreamy Ravenclaw student Luna Lovegood, who makes her memorable debut in this story.

Narration is provided by Cush Jumbo, guiding listeners through a story that continues to explore themes of resistance, friendship and the fight against rising darkness.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth release in the monthly rollout of the Full-Cast Audio Editions, which began in November 2025 and will conclude with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in May 2026.
